Here's another baby blanket that I just finished and is up for sale. I found the a-b-c square online, but made up the patterns for the big letters. The body is a tight knit, and the border is crochet. Measures about 24" by 32". Washer and Dryer safe.
I'd like to sell it for $125 since the tight knitting and sewing takes so long. I'm happy to customize the colors or border if anyone wants...

Peak 1 in Colorado
While we were in Frisco the days before July 4, we went hiking every day. This was the last hike we went on, and takes the prize for the most difficult hike I've ever done. It was amazing though--the view was completely worth the three days that I couldn't move afterward! This hike was definitely my favorite, probably added to by the fact that by the end, everyone had turned around and it was just me and Paul heading for the top!
Uncle Andy, Adam, Rick, me, Paul |
A couple hours in, a couple left to go, Peak 1 is right behind me. |
On the top! You wouldn't believe all the rocks we had to scramble up... |
On the way back down, here's a view of Frisco and Lake Dillon. |
While we were going down, we passed some other hikers and exchanged picture favors. |

Crocheted "Sun Squares" blanket
I've made dozens of blankets for others, and almost as many different patterns, to the point that now I'm inventing some of my own. I've decided to see if I can sell some online. Here is the first original-pattern afghan that I'm putting up for sale. I'm calling it "Sun Squares". The center of each square is a pentagon, surrounded by a square with "sunrays" in the corners, which are also echoed in the border. See the extra detail in the pictures below.
Because of the time involved, the original pattern, and the expense of the yarn, I've had a hard time decided on a standard price. I think I'd charge about $100 for this one though. It measures 25" by 30", is machine washable and dryer safe. Heirloom quality stitching is guaranteed with a three-year voucher for free repairs. Let me know if you're interested! Stay tuned for new patterns...
